Staycation at Ajman Saray, The Luxury Collection Resort

Our trips are impromptu most of the times.  So after a very hectic week, we decided to  go staycationing to Ajman. The sole purpose of this staycation was to spend some quality time by the beach.

We had a tough time choosing the beach resort, and finally decided on the Ajman Saray, The luxury collection resort and booked it through booking.com

The journey from Dubai to Ajman took us about an hour or so. Once we reached the resort, we were warmly welcomed at the reception and the lady at the front office even went on to give us an upgrade to a sea view room. The lobby was decked up in dark furniture and beautiful paintings and mirrors. There were fresh cut flowers everywhere.

The Ajman Saray is a 5-star property and is the first beach-side luxury collection resort in the middle east.   The building boasts of the Islamic Architecture. My First impression when I saw the building was “old”, but the beautiful interiors just baffled me. Every wall in the corridor was bedecked with various beautiful pieces of art.

We checked into our room and God! It was beautiful. The entire room was in teal theme and had all the premium facilities that every 5-star restaurant has. The toilets and the bath were separate and decorated elaborately ( see pictures). The view from the balcony was breathtaking! The pools and the ocean gleamed brightly in the sunlight. I loved the cosy corner of the room that had the Arabic styled lanterns hanging on top.

After getting freshened up, we went down to check out the property. The whole property is gorgeous and well maintained. There are two large pool and a large Jacuzzi nestled among sun lounges and cabanas. We did not go to the pools as there was nobody inside.

We headed straight to the beach, which is isolated from the sea by the backwaters. The water was very cold, but we enjoyed it thoroughly. The sea water was so pristine and clear that you could see tiny fishes swimming by.

After spending an hour or so by the beach, we returned to our room to change and head out for dinner. We decided to visit Vista, which offered all day buffet. We were ravenous and hogged up all the yummy food. The dinner at Vista mainly had Mediterranean buffet selection along with other cuisines.

We were just chilling out in the pool area when it started drizzling and we had to get back to our room.

The next morning we had the breakfast at the Vista restaurant and spent some time at the pool before heading back to Dubai.

Conclusion :

We loved our one day stay at Ajman Saray and feel it would have been better if we could stay for one more day. But Mr M had some work commitments and we had to get back to Dubai. The friendly staff, the awesome location and the beautiful room will surely bring us back here.
