Rove Hotel-Staycation Review

I was one of the winners of the International Day of Happiness competition organized by the Rove Hotel and won a staycation at their Healthcare City Hotel.

We redeemed the voucher during the first week of September and this blog is my review of my stay there

About :

Rove Healthcare city is located in Bur Dubai, just 15 minutes from the Dubai International Airport and perfect for both business and leisure stays. This mid-price range hotel by the Emaar group is an 11 floors property with 286 rooms.

The first thing that comes to your mind when you enter Rove is “Instagram Friendly”. The interiors are funky and surely please the Gen Y! Also the Arabic influences like the ancient trunks, geometric wallpapers add to the charm of the place. The lobby lounge is really a beautiful area with an eclectic collection of artwork installations and cozy sofas to sit and socialize.

The check-in was a breeze. The reception staff was very helpful and I am grateful that they let me check-in (I forgot my voucher at home: P) The room was simple but Instagram friendly like the rest of the hotel. The walls had large badges and slogans. The 48 Inch TV has the mirror screening option ( which is not available in most hotels ) thus helping us to watch our favorite Netflix show on TV. There was no bathtub but the large shower had both overhead rain shower and a hand-held showerhead. The toiletries like toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving kit etc are not available readily and are charged 5 AED when ordered via room service. I liked the concept of eco-friendly and sustainable service at the Roves. The bio soap, shower gel, and shampoo were available in the rooms in reusable bottles.

There is also a zoom store within the hotel building, but I recommend avoiding purchasing stuff from there as the prices are ridiculously more than any normal store.

The bed was super soft and comfortable and I slept like a baby. The next day, we had a lazy start and headed to our breakfast at the in-house restaurant “The Daily”.  The breakfast buffet is not very extensive but everything was delicious.  I especially loved the poached eggs on avo toast.  The interiors are very beautiful with a lot of natural lighting.  We checked out of the hotel by 1 PM.

If you are looking for a neat, decent and affordable stay in and around Dubai, Rove Hotels is the place for you. Definitely recommended. The Healthcare city branch is perfect for your business stay or a leisure getaway.

Thank you Rove Hotels for having us.
