Rasoi Ghar -Resturant Review

If you are craving for authentic Rajasthani and Gujrathi food and want to be treated royally, Rasoighar is the place you must visit.

The restaurant is situated in Al-Karama area and is at a walkable distance from the ADCB metro station.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff and we were asked to choose our tables- To sit down ( traditional fashion) or on chairs. We went for the chairs. Once we were seated comfortably, we were given the lemonade welcome drink. As it was Monday, the theme of the menu was “Mann Bhara Monday”

We started off with the appetizer platter. We were served Daal Dhokli, Pizza Dhokla, Veg Ghugra, Hariyali Paneer Tikka along with Date and green chutney. Everything on the platter was absolutely delicious and was a perfect blend of flavours. I loved the daal Dhokli and the Pizza Dhokla.

The main course consisted of Rotis, Puri along with several sabzis, 2 types of daal and 2 types of Kadhi. We absolutely loved the Bajra Rotla (Bajra Roti served with butter and jaggery). Along with the Roti and Puris, we also had the Khichdi and Soya Pulav. I also tried the Chunda, pickle and the garlic chutney powder that were kept at the table were yummy too. The chass which came with the thali was very refreshing.

The attentive staff come and ask you for refills regularly. As it is an unlimited thali, the food is served in small proportions and can be refilled according to your needs. This ensures that there is minimal food wastage.

For the desserts, we were served tomato Halwa, fruit shrikhand and  Malpua with Rabdi. The manager went on to get us some gulab jamuns too. The desserts were just the right amount of sweet. I am still craving for the Malpua with Rabdi (I usually avoid desserts).

Everything in the thali was unique and scrumptious.  Definitely a 5/5 for the food.

Coming to the ambience, the place gives you a cosy feeling as soon as you enter. The place surely reminds you of  Rajasthan with all the Rajasthani artefacts, cushions and paintings.  It is very spacious and can be booked for get-togethers and family events.

Price :  The price is approximately 47 AED per person.

Service: The service is very quick and the staff is very friendly. They ensure you that you are served well and full to the brim 🙂

Overall this place is a foodie heaven. Will surely come back to try the food on other days.
