If you are missing the Desi homemade food, Ghar ka khana is the place to go. Ghar ka Khana is situated in Cluster N, JLT. They offer tiffin services in and around the JLT area. They have daily, weekly and monthly plans. The meal plans include some delicious healthy ingredients like Quinoa, Avocado and Chia Seed. Just like the homemade food, each dish is freshly prepared without any canned or frozen ingredients.
Recently I had been to the restaurant to celebrate the International Women’s day. We tried a variety of dishes from their menu and loved the simple, nutritious food this place has to offer.
We tried a variety of starters.
Quinoa and avocado salad
Quinoa chicken Seekh kebab & Beet chicken tikka
Pan fried fish
Masala Chia Idli
I loved the salad, Quinoa Chicken Seekh Kebabs and the Masala Chia Idlies. The masala Chia Idli was really unique and I loved the crunch of the chia seeds. The King fish was pan friend to perfection.
For the main course we had:
Butter chicken and a Paneer Dish
Quinoa Biryani and Chicken Biriyani
The Kurkuri bhindi was delicious and addictive. We all devoured it in seconds and had to order one more plate. The Quinoa Biriyani was also rich in flavors. The curries were well balanced. The Rotis served were hot and soft.
For the dessert, we had the Rose infused rice Pudding. The taste reminded me of the Rice kheer my mother prepares back in India
