Fusion- Ghaya Grand Hotel – Review

Fusion is a multi-cuisine restaurant located at Ghaya Grand Hotel in IMPZ, Dubai. Every night the restaurant has a seafood buffet. The buffet is priced at 155 AED per person.  There are 5 live cooking stations with unlimited food options.

Mr. M and I visited the restaurant last Sunday and we had a gala time here. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who introduced us to the various sections of the buffet and served us the welcome drink.

The interiors are decorated aptly for the seafood theme. There are fishnets and anchors placed on the pillars and walls of the restaurant giving the beachy vibes to the place.

We started off the grand buffet with the salads. The intercontinental salad counter had a selection of veggies and Arabic cold mezze. There was a different section for bread and cheese too.

As it was seafood night, we straight away went to check out the seafood live cooking station. The seafood counter is set up like a fish market with a variety of seafood to choose from. We selected the shrimps, mussels, hamour, pomfrets, and squids. All these were custom grilled by the chef at the live counter. Being avid seafood lovers, we loved this food station. (5/5)

After this, we went on to check out the other live counters. We tried some sushi. I liked the California roll.

(4/5). Next up, we checked out the Indian counter. We tried the Hara bhara kebab, mutton curry, Desi Pasta, Thai chicken curry.(4/5) Loved the Hara bhara kebab and the Thai curry. The mutton curry was delicious with all the right spices infused to bring out the great flavor. But we did not find any Rotis in the counter and there was no one at the counter to ask for the rotis. We also tried the chicken noodles at the work counter which was also customized (There were veg and beef options) just the way we wanted.

Last, but not the least the dessert section. Although the options were not too many, we loved the desserts. I don’t remember the names of the desserts, but everything was delicious. Not too sweet and perfect. Loved the hot chocolate pudding too (not in pictures).

Overall, the buffet is great value for money. The friendly staff, cool ambiance and the number of a variety of items to choose from make this place worth a visit. I am surely going back for some more seafood.

Thanks for having us @theclassylotuslife and @ghayagrandhotel.
